SIRT - Previs & Virtual Production
Previsualization and Virtual Production processes are increasingly being used on film productions at budget levels ranging from Avatar to lower budget indie productions, and in the television and gaming sectors. This conference is part of a series of events by Ontario's production industry that will help build knowledge and capacity about these processes and what they mean for technical, creative and administrative personnel.
When: February 24 & 25, 2011
Where: Screen Industries Research and Training Centre, Pinewood Toronto Studios, Toronto, Ontario
A two-day conference on the current state, practice and future of previsualization and virtual production includes panels, presentations and technology demos featuring guest speakers and experts from Ontario and around the world.
Come explore these dynamic production environments where directors, animators, designers, cinematographers, effects artists, producers and other creative disciplines can work interactively, and enhance their storytelling skills.
If you’re active in the film, television or gaming sector you’ll want to get the latest on how to innovate and deliver with these developing technologies, and join the dialogue about where Ontario’s media industries can take them from here.
Hosted by the Screen Industries Research and Training Centre, with the participation and sponsorship of the Directors Guild of Canada - Ontario, I.A.T.S.E. Local 667, FilmOntario, Computer Animation Studios of Ontario (CASO), the Previsualization Society, Pinewood Toronto Studios, and made possible with the support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation on behalf of the Ministry of Culture.
